Nomaris Garcia Rivera
Nomaris, born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, is currently pursuing a Master of Arts at the School of Visual Arts on the subject of Design Research, Writing, and Criticism and was awarded the Henry Wolf Foundation Full Scholarship upon her acceptance into the program.
Previously she was a marketing associate at Macmillan in the International Sales team, marketing english books to international retailers. Within this role she had the opportunity to engage with the publishing business across borders by creating ads, newsletters, and other marketing materials for international audiences.
She graduated from Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts at The New School with a Journalism + Design BA and a Culture and Media Minor. Throughout her time at Lang she did work that expanded on the curriculum and community engagement of her program.
